JAZ Engineering (PTY) Ltd (Registration Number: 2018/272793/07), trading as CribLogic ("CribLogic," "we," "us," or "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (criblogic.co.za) and use our cloud-based software platform and modules (collectively, the "Service").

As a company based in South Africa, we process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where applicable to our international users, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering for the Service, expressing an interest in obtaining information about us or our products, or otherwise contacting us.

  • Personal and Account Information: Name, email address, password, company name, role designation (e.g., Customer_Owner, Operator, Reseller), and contact details.
  • Operational and Manufacturing Data: Tool inventory details, machine specifications, cut histories, material types, and crowdsourced tool life data.
  • Financial Information: We do not collect, capture, or store full credit card numbers or raw payment details on our servers. All payment processing is securely handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. We only receive subscription status tokens and limited billing history.
  • Automatically Collected Information: IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, access times, and device hardware (especially when using mobile or tablet views on the shop floor).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect or receive to:

  • Provide and Manage the Service: To create accounts, toggle module access (e.g., Optima, NeuralCut, Inventory), and provide customer support.
  • Process Transactions: To communicate with our Merchant of Record, Paddle, to fulfill and manage your orders, payments, and subscription tiers.
  • Train and Improve AI Algorithms (Aggregated Data): We use anonymized, aggregated operational data (stripped of all personally identifiable and specific company information) to train our predictive models, improve NeuralCut recommendations, and calculate industry "Confidence Scores" for tool life.
  • Security: To monitor against fraudulent activity, unauthorized access attempts, and to ensure role-based access control (RBAC) integrity.
  • Data We Do Not Exploit: We explicitly do not use, share, or claim ownership over your sensitive internal financial metrics, such as your actual hourly labor rates, machine-hour rates, or proprietary client job details.

4. Payment Processing and Third-Party Transactions

We use Paddle.com as our authorized Merchant of Record (MoR) for all subscription purchases. When you upgrade your CribLogic workspace, your payment details (such as credit card numbers and billing addresses) are transmitted directly to and processed securely by Paddle. JAZ Engineering (PTY) Ltd does not capture, process, or store your raw payment data on our servers. 5. How We Share Your Information

We only share information with the following third parties under strict confidentiality agreements:

  • Paddle.com (Merchant of Record): For the purposes of global payment processing, subscription management, and tax compliance.
  • Authorized Resellers: If you purchased or are supported through an authorized Reseller, we share your account status and usage metrics with them to facilitate your Tier 1 support and training.
  • Cloud & Security Providers: Services like Cloudflare (for network security/WAF) and our secure database hosting providers.
  • Legal Obligations: If required by South African law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of CribLogic or others.

6. Data Retention

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

  • Active Accounts: Data is retained as long as your account is active.
  • Canceled Subscriptions: Upon cancellation of a premium module, we retain the specific operational data associated with that module for a maximum period of six (6) months to allow for easy reactivation. After 6 months, this specific data is permanently deleted.

7. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location (such as under POPIA or GDPR), you have rights to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal information.
